When trying to completely create a garden from scratch it can seem quite a troublesome task as there are so many conflicting factors to consider. How do you want to use the space? will it flow with the theme of the house? how much time do I have to look after it, shall I hire a designer? how much will it cost? I have found one great benefit of choosing Buckinghamshire Landscape Gardeners over other landscapers through my clients which is simply; we know garden design and all the technical processes which take place through to a cost efficient and high impact completion.
Our fully post graduate qualified landscape architect director Paul can visit the client and very quickly advise you on what the space needs to fulfill your desired needs from a garden. In Mr Bronzes case above two other well known garden designers were being consulted for the build of his garden. Mr Bronze told us he preferred our approach and ideas more and saved himself over £800 in the process by working with us through a quick sketch design process at his home. Although Paul is passionate about landscape and garden design we realize that in most cases paying for a full design can be expensive and unnecessary. Most clients just want two things guidance and choice.

At the beginning of our consultations we quickly survey the garden space listen to our clients needs and expectations and then work out some basic sketches while choosing from precedent images of garden styles and ideas. In over 90% of cases we save the cost of a full design in one visit allowing us to create you a garden that looks like it has been professionally designed without the cost. The biggest cost with any landscape garden design and build project is the construction materials and labour.  This is why we try to nail the designs and theme early on so we can make the build as free flowing and cost effective as possible. We have worked with many designers over the years and enjoy realizing the proposals of garden designers. Many times however it is the relationship between designers and contractors which can cause projects to go wrong with most contractors raising the price as contingency against designers changing finished construction work.  This is why here at Buckinghamshire landscape gardeners we are proud of our garden design and build process.

I thought I would use Mr Bronze from Aylesburys garden above as an example. It was clear when meeting with him he needed two defined areas as he wanted some planting, a raised patio to catch the sun and a new lawn area. The existing garden had been landscaped into a series of terraces which is common in sloped gardens but does not allow for more spacious zones for socializing and children's games.

On discussing some of our past gardens around Buckinghamshire Mr bronze liked the effect of white rendered walls and black slate for a modern feel. The garden will be landscaped with lighting around the new circular steps and planting which evokes movement such as soft Fargesia Bamboo.
